Finally
Well here we are on our last night in Spain ... having arrived on 28 December! It's been all to short!
It's also been fantastic, and in some ways I'm not looking forward to returning home. Being with Sarah, Amy & Sam has been fantastic, and it's been absolutely great to see Amy make use of her language skills.
I've very much taken a back seat and let Sarah & Amy take most of the running ... to see their maturity and ability to cope makes me very proud! Of course the smoothness of the whole trip was greathly enhanced by Amy's language skills.
Walked & walked - out 8 hrs with only 30mins sit down for lunch. We were all pretty tired when we arrived back at the apartment. Most of the day was at the Cathedral - the recorded commentary said it is the largest gothic structure in the world, and the 3rd largest church, with the Basillica at the Vatican and St Paul's in London larger.
After that we went for a wander through the Barrio de Santa Cruz, did some souvenier shopping (even broker now), then a back via the Rio Guadalquivir.
Amy cooked tea again while I tried to sort out the photos.
We walked Sarah to the station and said our goodbyes. Very sad, lots of tears.
As I said, it's all coming too rapidly to an end.
